Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix / Chapter 26 "Seen and Unforeseen" / by J.K.Rowling
... He raised his wand: "One - two - three - Legilimens!" ... Harry raised his own wand. "Protego!" Snape staggered - his wand flew upwards, away from Harry - and suddenly Harry's mind was teeming with memories that were not his: a hook-nosed man was shouting at a cowering woman, while a small dark-haired boy cowered in a corner ... a greasy-haired teenager sat alone in a dark bedroom, pointing his wand at the ceiling, shooting down flies ... The composition draws the viewer's eye straight to Snape. Really well done

"In the end only love matters...
It is love that brought the universe into being
and it is love that will transform it...
Love is the Alchemist of the soul."
... I went back to real illustrating - using decorating and beautifying details. It's like writing, there's a difference between a message text and poetry ... but you know that well!
I just thought it gave the picture something ... surreal ... and a deeper meaning, because a. flies represent neglect, decay, death ... in the figurative sense, in this case; and b. these flies stand for the "Lord of the Flies", the synonym for the propensity to violence.
But there could have been a dead cat outside the window, you never know, Spinner's End doesn't sound like the best part of town to me ...
