Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows / Chapter 33 "The Prince´s Tale" / by J.K.Rowling
... "But you´re Muggle-born, so someone from school will have to come and explain to your parents."
"Does it make a difference, being Muggle-born?"
Snape hesitated. His black eyes, eager in the greenish gloom, moved over the pale face, the dark red hair.
"No," he said. "It doesn´t make any difference." ...
___________________________well, finally I managed to upload my first "work of fanart", so here it is and I do hope some like it as much as I do.
What a wonderful drawing! I love the way Lily and Snape are framed by the trees. Their poses are spot on and the buildings in the background are inspired. Beautiful.
... thanks again. Well, actually, I intended to show Spinner's End in the background - or do we know the proper name of the village? I think Spinner's End was the name of the street Snape lived in. Anyway, it's the chimney and the mill and some gables of houses ... but later on I discovered that I didn't draw them in a typical "British-houses style".
But then again, Severus and Lily are important in this scene. It was the first time ever that Snape put down into words what he felt and thought at heart -
I liked your wind swept Hagrid-carries-Harry a lot!!! Very expressive colours and style!
Wow! This drawing is one of the best I've seen, inspired on the Deathly Hallows. You really expressed how Sev and Lily feel about each other! I really love this drawing! It's so full of sentiments. Amazing!
Your shading is absolutely beautiful, as well as the shapes of the young Severus and Lily. I'm just wondering, however, if you had the chance to, what would/could you do to make the piece even better than it already is? You know, kinda like an extra challenge in the future?

WOW! That is all I can say. This really is *AMAZING*. Def had to add it to my favourites. I just think you really, truly captured the moment between them. This is beautiful. Awesome job.
thanks for the fav ... I'm planning some more snape-related drawings; but I do like Harry and DD as well, and they had to be done first ...
I really loved that moment between Snape and Lily, as it is one of the most important scenes in all the 7 books - without it, the story couldn't have become what it has become ...
Aww, what a beautiful sketch!
That's a really pretty Lily I see there.
Only things I can say are that even though it's only a sketch, I think Lily's shirt looks too plain, as if it's the same league as Sev's. I assume Lily came from loving, more well-off parents who provided their daughter's with clothes that made them appear more lovable. But Sev here is perfect .
Other thing is, I think, they were sitting on grass in a more open space, room for Lily to lay down - but I loved what you did here! The trees make them more closer together ^_^. But since you drew a specific scene with quotes it makes viewers kinda expect it will take on everything as it was in the book.
DW, I'm just kinda picky, because this is just so adorable <3
