Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows / Chapter 21 "The Tale of the Three Brothers" / by J.K.Rowling
"In time, the brothers reached a river too deep to wade through and too dangerous to swim across. However, these brothers were learned in the magical arts, and so they simply waved their wands and made a bridge appear across the treacherous water. They were halfway across it when they found their path blocked by a hooded figure. And Death spoke to them ... "

yay! my sister and I love the tale of the three brothers. we even made a song about the story. we were always looking for art from it and now...ta da! I love how you drew the scene at an extreme wide-shot to see their dark surroundings. And I always adore your detail.
thanks! and thanks for instantly ing it ... actually, I' m not wholly content with it. I had a hard time choosing between a winter scenery, slashing rain ... and the one I finally drew, full moon over the bridge ... anyway, I had already spent some time on it, so: on your marks, set, deviate!
I love the tale, too ... and I simply KNEW it from the very beginning, that these Beedle-the-Bard tales were to be the stories JKRowling would write next. And she did ...
Lovely use of crosshatching. Your illustration style is really superb.
