Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows / Chapter 33 "The Prince´s Tale" / by J.K.Rowling

... "What request could a Death Eater make of me?"
"The - the prophecy ... the prediction ... Trelawney ..."
"Ah yes," said Dumbledore [...]
"The prophecy did not refer to a woman," said Dumbledore. "It spoke of a boy born at the end of July -"
"You know what I mean! He thinks it means her son, he is going to hunt her down - kill them all -"
"If she means that much to you," said Dumbledore, "surely Lord Voldemort will spare her? Could you not ask for mercy for the mother, in exchange for the son?"
"I have - I have asked him-"
"You disgust me," said Dumbledore, and Harry had never heard so much contempt in his voice. [...]
"Hide them all, then," he croaked. "Keep her - them - safe. Please."
"And what will you give me in return, Severus?"
"In - in return?" Snape gaped at Dumbledore, and Harry expected him to protest, but after a long moment he said, "Anything." ...

One of the best treatments I've seen of this. The whole scene is wonderful, almost a tapestry of light and dark. Dumbledore towering over wretched Snape, the trees almost reaching out to ensnare him . . . :phew: Wow, just superb. I love the attention you pay to little details like D's cape, too

Wonderful - fantastic, indeed. That's a perfect illustration for this moment. Thank you ...!
I' m without words ... fantastic!
thank you ... very much - for your comment "without words" and the fav! ;)
I have to thank people like you for watching, enjoying and faving my work - without you it would only be grey and black lines on paper ... ;)
thanks for the compliments ... at first I intended to draw only the centre of the picture and let the lines fade from centre to the edge of the paper (is it called "edge"? I hope you know what I mean), but then I wanted it to be all dark and then I went on and on until every squaremillimetre of the sheet of paper was covered ... so I indeed had to pay some attention to the details ...
better twice than never! :D
this is a very beautiful drawing! :)
